Dr. Yoder was born in Connecticut but lived there only briefly before a nomadic childhood took her to California, Texas, Pennsylvania and London, England. After college in California and a year traveling and living in Hawaii, Dr. Yoder attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She completed a general surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego and once again, resumed her nomadic lifestyle in pursuit of becoming a pediatric surgeon.

Dr. Yoder spent one year at the University of California, San Francisco at the Fetal Treatment Center. Next, she moved to Kansas City where she completed a pediatric surgical critical care fellowship and obtained board certification in surgical critical care. One more cross country move found Dr. Yoder at Yale-New Haven Medical center where she completed her pediatric surgery fellowship.

Dr. Yoder has participated in two surgical service trips in Nha Trang, Vietnam and La Paz, Bolivia. Her surgical interests include minimally invasive surgery, and surgical critical care as well as health care advocacy and volunteerism.

Though nomadic in the past, Dr. Yoder is excited to join Rocky Mountain Pediatric Surgery and looks to make Denver home. She enjoys surfing, skiing, biking and yes, she is a Broncos fan.
